During a Telephone Town Hall, conference participants have the ability to ask questions to be answered live on-air. The screener is the first point of contact for listeners who wish to ask a question or make a comment during the event. The screener is responsible to ensure quality questions and comments make it to the moderator, who will ultimately choose who will go live on-air to ask their question.
