Stones' Phones is looking to expand our Washington, DC office by hiring a Lead Project Manager.


Stones' Phones is a leading progressive political consulting firm that offers award-winning strategic phone outreach for high-profile electoral, ballot initiative, and legislative campaigns, non-profit organizations, and labor unions across the nation, focusing on issues such as drug policy reform, workers’ rights, racial justice, immigration, environmental protection, LGBTQ equality, and women’s reproductive health.

Our firm is based in Washington, DC, with offices in Columbus, OH, Madison, WI and Rancho Mirage, CA.


Marketing Support

  • Monitor and update political race tracking intel for campaigns, advocacy efforts, and organizations to maintain up-to-date research on current and potential clients

  • Generate and edit program budgets and proposals

  • Generate bios and draft/edit blog posts

  • Work closely alongside senior staff to track and manage marketing leads, including generating call lists

  • Take notes during meetings and phone calls, deriving and distributing relevant action items

Programmatic Support
  • Conduct research and draft/edit call program scripts and materials

  • Track and coordinate communications, ensuring all program pieces are approved and submitted on time

  • Proactively guide projects from concept to closure, effectively managing timelines and shifting priorities

  • Communicate promptly, effectively, and respectfully with relevant stakeholders

  • Attend on-site events and provide support as needed

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage and update CRM database

  • Answer phones, print/scan documents, make supply runs, etc.

  • Book travel, send calendar invites, etc.

  • Proactively seek ways to support all team members in their work



2-3 years of experience working in a project management capacity. Background in politics or public policy is preferred, but not required. Strong interest in these areas, however, is necessary.

Expert communicator with unparalleled interpersonal skills and follow-up ability, all while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Intuitive and perceptive self-starter with the ability to anticipate needs, respond to ever-shifting priorities, and multi-task in a high-volume environment.

Maintain a strong attention to detail and unmatched organizational ability as you continually keep the ball moving, all while complying with relevant best practices.

Joyful can-do attitude, sense of humor, and unflappable while interacting with a multitude of stakeholders from diverse cultural, professional, and personal backgrounds.
Occasional travel and irregular hours, similar to a political campaign.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Mac OS X, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to commit to the role through – at least – the 2019 legislative session.
